Mint pelargonium is highly peppermint scented and has luxurious velvety leaves. Traditional uses include putting a rolled leaf in one’s ear to treat ear-ache and to clear the sinuses. Isomenthone contributes to the intense mint scent and the oil in the leaves is astringent. The flavour is of intense mint with a complex geranium undertone, elevating the experience way beyond ordinary mint tea. Ideal to add to puddings and bakes and as an iced tea Mint pelargonium is a quick 'pick-me-up'.
