SOUTH AFRICA'S CULINARY HERITAGE
South Africa's indigenous culinary flavours derive from an ancient family of botanicals called Fynbos (fine bush - Dutch/Afrikaans). They comprise the greater portion of the Cape Floristic Region with some 7000 recorded species.
Cape Town's Table Mountain is at the centre of this globally acclaimed diversity hotspot and South Africa's unique culinary tradition.
"Fynbos aromas and flavours are distinctly South African and they connect us with our identity as South African's in the most uplifting way", says South African Fynbos founder Giselle Courtney.
Oral tradition and chemistry combine in a contemporary exploration of botanical heritage.
